This unique new desert tour is designed for those that want to spend some quality time walking through, and photographing, some of Egypt’s most stunning landscapes. We visit some new and unusual sites including the isolated Djara Cave. There will be plenty of time to enjoy and discover the vast area known as The White Desert. This itinerary will be very flexible on desert days as we will stop to walk and explore at some extraordinary locations.

This is a chance to explore some of the most exciting historical sites in the world. We begin in Luxor with a visit to Abydos before travelling to Aswan where we join a Lake Nasser cruise taking us to the far south of Egypt and the ancient land of Nubia. Sailing to the site of Abu Simbel has to be one of the great ‘must do’ events for all Egyptology lovers.

 | Land of the Red Crown - 3rd November 2012 - 9 Days with Dylan Bickerstaffe
This is an unusual journey through Lower Egypt looking at some dramatic and intriguing, but rarely visited sites. Based in Cairo we travel from Tanis to the Faiyum and explore the many pyramid fields and abandoned cities along the way, including some sites completely exclusive to AWT. Few tours visit the Faiyum and its fascinating archaeology – and even fewer do it in 4x4’s, allowing great access to the more difficult to reach sites.

This is what happens when you ask an Egyptologist ‘Where would you like to take people next year?’ This inspired and completely unique tour with Aidan, takes in some amazing sites including some seriously off the beaten track places! We begin in Luxor before heading to Abydos for a very full exploration of the area, including Beit Khallaf. Next we head north, via Sohag and its fascinating sites, before heading south west into the desert for visits to Kharga and Dakhla Oases. We return to the Nile Valley and head via sites like el Kab to Aswan. An Egyptophile’s tour de force!
