ASTRONOMY WORLD TOURS - RUSSIA ECLIPSE TOUR D WITH THE TRANS SIBERIAN EXPRESS

 

AWT has previously run eleven superbly successful tours to see the solar eclipse in Turkey, Libya, Iran and Egypt; carrying several hundred passengers, divided into smaller groups, for this truly memorable event. We are very proud of our eclipse tours and the outstanding group of specialists we work with. Each tour is accompanied by a recognised expert as well as a local guide who will help you get the most from your experience.

 

Day 1


Fly from London Heathrow to Moscow with Transaero and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 2

 

A full-day city tour includes a visit to the Kremlin. Depart this evening at 1900 by train in first class carriages with sleeper berths to Kazan.

 

Day 3

 

A full day in Kazan includes a cruise on the River Volga and a city tour. Depart late afternoon.

 

Day 4

 

Arrive in Yekaterinburg and a morning tour. Depart this afternoon for Novosibirsk.

 

 

Day 5

 

A full day, and evening, in Novosibirsk includes a city tour in addition to viewing the eclipse in the company of our expert.

 

Day 6

 

 

Late morning arrival in Krasnoyarsk for city sightseeing and a boat ride on the River Yenisei.

 

Day 7

 

Arrive in Irkutsk for a two-night stay.

 

Day 8

 

Today we have a day of sightseeing in and around Irkutsk including famous Lake Baikal.

 

Day 9

 

Depart for Moscow and connect with a flight to Heathrow

At this stage we are not allocating individual experts to particular tours.
