Special permits for a day trip to rarely visited South Saqqara and Abu Sir
NOTE: if you decide to stay on for the second week of this tour –‘The New Kingdom’ you receive a £600 discount on the two tour price.
Guests arrive in Cairo (own individual flights). Our tour representative meets each guest at the airport, and arranges private transportation to the Steigenberger Hotel, Giza. We stay for seven nights, with room and breakfast included.
Today we plan a full day at The Grand Egyptian Museum. Lunch own arrangements at the museum. (B)
A full day visit to the ancient necropolis of Saqqara. Entry to the Step Pyramid, Unas Pyramid, Old Kingdom tombs, the Serapeum, and more. Lunch at Saqqara Palm restaurant included. (BL)
This morning we can enter the Bent and Red Pyramids of Sneferu at this remote site. We have included an extra special private permit to enter the Black Pyramid of Amenemhat III. Lunch at the Sakkara Palm club before we return to our hotel. (BL)
The Giza Pyramids and guests can purchase an optional extra ticket if they wish to go inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Lunch at a local restaurant with spectacular views of the Plateau is included before we visit the mighty Sphinx. (BL)
Today we have a special permit for private visit to the more remote area of South Saqqara. Lunch at Sakkara Palm and then we make the short journey to Abu Sir another normally closed site. (BL)
This morning a journey to Heliopolis followed by a local lunch. In the afternoon we visit to National Museum of Egyptian Civilization now known famously as the final resting place for the Royal Mummies. (BL)
Today you can take the transfer to Cairo Airport for your trip home. Alternatively if you plan to stay on for the second week of the tour and transfer to Luxor we will meet you in Luxor airport and transfer you to the Old Winter Palace, Garden Pavilion Wing. (B)
